TEXAS BIRTHDAY BASH THIS WEEKEND IN DOWNTOWN NAVASOTA
Downtown Navasota’s annual celebration of Texas Independence kicks off today (Friday).
The 11th Annual Texas Birthday Bash will bring two days of Texas music, food, shopping and family fun.
Gates open at 5 p.m. today with Jeff Canada, followed by La Fiebre at 6:30 p.m. and headliner La Mafia at 8:30 p.m.
Tomorrow (Saturday), gates open at 1 p.m. and the first performance will be Payton Howie at 1:30 p.m. Jason Cassidy will take the stage at 3:15 p.m., then Wade Hayes at 5 p.m. Kevin Fowler will play at 6:45 p.m., and that will lead into Aaron Watson at 8:30 p.m. to round out the festival.
In addition to the music, there will be a kid’s zone with a petting zoo, mechanical bull and bounce house, as well as demonstrations from the Ol’ West Gunfighters. Food and craft vendors will be onsite.
Day of event tickets will be available at the gate.
The Texas Birthday Bash is partnering with Navasota High School to accommodate parking needs. Shuttle buses will run today and tomorrow from the high school to the Texas Birthday Bash entry gate. The shuttles will run from when gates open until an hour after the headliner’s performance.
