BHS POWERLIFTING TEAM SENDS TWO TO GIRLS REGIONAL MEET

The Brenham Cubettes sent two freshman power lifters to the Regional Meet in Elgin this past Friday. 

Kaleigh Daniels came in ranked #12, and finished at #9 for the meet in the 132 pound weight class. She had lifts of 230 lbs on the squat, 120 lbs on the bench press, and 250 pounds on the dead lift.

Khaliah Jeffrey came in ranked #7 and finished #6 for the meet in the 259+ weight class.  She lifted 225 lbs on the squat, 150 lbs on the bench press, and 200 pounds on the dead lift. 

BHS Powerlifting Coach Ryan Jones said that the lifts were personal records for both girls, however, only the top two finishers go to state.

This coming week, Mike Gonzalez is going to be competing for Brenham High School at the Boys Regional Meet in Cleburne.
