CUBETTES RUN-RULE RUDDER 10-0 IN DISTRICT PLAY

The Brenham Cubette Softball Team continued to swing hot bats as they defeated Bryan Rudder 10-0 in five innings tonight (Friday).

Della Jasinski was the winning pitcher, and added another no-hitter to her already stacked resume of accomplishments.

The game was scoreless until the bottom of the third inning. Avery Maurer reached on an error, and stole second. Kaylyn Rodriguez reached on a second error that allowed Maurer to score. Two batters later, Sarah Mabie unloaded a two run homer to make it 3-0 Brenham. Kaylie Rodriguez followed with a single and then scored on an RBI double by Kinley Antkowiak. The Cubettes led 4-0 after three innings.

In the fourth inning, Brenham tacked on five more runs. McKenzie Tiemann singled, and then stole second, and third. Avery Maurer walked and then got into a rundown that allowed Tiemann to steal home as well. Maurer then scored on an RBI single by Halle Scheel. Kaylyn Rodriguez walked. Annie Beckendorf then smashed a three run homer to put the Cubettes up 9-0.

In the bottom of the fifth, Brenham added one more run on another RBI single by Scheel that scored Maurer to make it 10-0.
