In just under two weeks, runners will take to the Washington County countryside for the 45th Annual Blue Bell Fun Run.
The fundraiser for Brenham High School athletics is set for Saturday, March 25th with a series of runs starting at Brenham High School. The day begins with the half marathon kicking off at 7:30 a.m., the kids’ 1-mile run at 8 a.m., 10K at 8:30 a.m. and 5K at 9:30 a.m.
Jamie Maurer of the Blue Bell Fun Run says the event has become a spring staple.
Over 3,200 people have registered so far for the Fun Run. Maurer says while it may be taking place a little earlier than normal, it still looks like it will have plenty of participation.
All runners will receive a medal, and the top finishers will receive awards. They will also all get free event t-shirts and Blue Bell Ice Cream after the run.
Parking will be at the Washington County Expo, with a shuttle bus taking participants to the high school.
