DEADLINE FOR VOTER REGISTRATION APRIL 6
Less than a week remains for Washington County residents to sign up to vote in the May 6 elections.
Citizens have until Thursday, April 6th to get registered. Voter registration applications must be delivered or postmarked to the Washington County Elections Office at the courthouse by 5 p.m. that day.
According to Elections Administrator Carol Jackson, there were 24,389 registered voters in the county as of Thursday.
Voters will use one ballot containing multiple elections, according to their eligibility. Entities that are holding an election include the City of Brenham, City of Burton, Blinn College, Brenham ISD and Burton ISD. Voters registered in Washington County and Giddings ISD will vote in that election.
Early voting will be held on weekdays between April 24th and May 2nd at the Washington County Courthouse Annex. On Election Day, there will be five polling locations: the Nancy Carol Roberts Memorial Library, Washington County Event Center, Brenham VFW Hall, Blinn College Student Center and Burton American Legion Hall.
