BURTON PANTHERS TO OPEN AREA ROUND AGAINST THORNDALE TONIGHT (THURSDAY)

The Burton Panthers will open their area round playoff series later this (Thursday) evening against the Thorndale Bulldogs. 

The Panthers are the District 26-2A runners-up, and are coming off sweeping Deweyville 11-0 and 15-0 in the Bi-District round. 

The Bulldogs are the District 27-2A champions and coming off a 12-0 and 9-0 sweep over Sonora in the Bi-District round. 

Last year, these same two teams met in the Area Round with Thorndale eliminating Burton in a two game sweep.

First pitch is scheduled for tonight (Thursday) in Mumford at 7pm.  KWHI will have live coverage beginning with the pregame at 6:30pm on 1280AM, 101.7FM, and KWHI.com. 

Game two of the series is tomorrow (Friday) night at 7pm.  Should a third game be necessary, it would Saturday at 2pm.
