REGISTRATION OPEN FOR NATIONAL NIGHT OUT BLOCK PARTIES
Washington County first responders are gearing up for another year of National Night Out.
The annual community-building campaign, taking place this year on Tuesday, October 6th, is designed to promote neighborhood camaraderie and partnerships between police and community members. This year’s theme is “Party Like It’s 1999”.
Neighborhoods are invited to host block parties for neighbors to get to know one another. The Brenham Police Department will also be hosting a downtown block party for anyone in the city limits. The city-wide downtown block party will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the Commerce Street parking lot and will offer first responder visits, music and community fun.
Parties within Brenham city limits can be registered through the link here or by calling Corporal Susan Gibbs at 979-337-7338. All registered party details will be shared with the Brenham Police and Fire Departments, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Washington County EMS.
Parties outside of city limits in the county can be registered with Washington County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Mark Whidden at 979-353-7705.
All neighborhood parties must be registered by Sunday, September 27th at 11:45 p.m., so that first responders can plan their visits.
