WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS APPROVE GUARANTEED MAX PRICE FOR EXPO REPAIRS

speaks to county commissioners on Tuesday about the
repairs and maintenance work that will soon occur at the
Expo.
Washington County Commissioners agreed Tuesday on a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) agreement for a bid package for repairs and maintenance at the Expo.
Expo Director Harrison Williams said the GMP of $246,905 covers the removal of the no-longer-used JLA building. It is also for site and utility work for electrical improvements at the barns and food court, plumbing fixes for the sales facility and entertainment pavilion, and work on the sanitary sewer lines.
Collier Construction is serving as the construction manager at risk, with PlanNorth serving as the architect team. A specific start date was not mentioned during discussion on the item, but information in the meeting agenda packet said Collier Construction is prepared to begin construction as soon as possible.
Commissioner Dustin Majewski said $50,000 is present in contingency funding, based off of the unknowns with what may be found when work begins with the electrical and plumbing.
