SCARECROWS ARRIVE IN DOWNTOWN BRENHAM
Fall has come to life in downtown Brenham.
Colorful scarecrows are now scattered across downtown as part of Main Street Brenham’s 23rd Annual Scarecrow Extravaganza.
The public is now able to vote for their favorite of the 28 entries registered. The winning scarecrows will receive a portion of approximately $1,325 in cash prizes, with the best overall entry receiving $300 courtesy of Kelli Dozier State Farm Insurance.
Other prize categories include:
- Most Votes for $200, sponsored by BT Longhorn;
- Judges Choice for $200, sponsored by KTEX/KWHI;
- Best Fall Theme for $125, sponsored by Hermann Furniture;
- Most Creative for $125, sponsored by Rustic Ruby;
- Most Educational for $125, sponsored by Christy Schlottmann Farmers Insurance;
- Silliest for $125, sponsored by Bluebonnet Abstract & Title;
- Cutest for $125, sponsored by the Brenham Banner-Press.
Ballots can be picked up at sponsoring locations. Voting is open through October 22nd, with winners set to be announced on October 26th.
