BURTON CITY COUNCIL TO MEET TUESDAY

  

The oaths of office will be administered at the next meeting of the Burton City Council coming up on Tuesday night.

Karen Buck, who defeated David Zajicek in the May 6th election, will be sworn in as the new Burton Mayor. 

Meanwhile, Jeff Eckhardt, who defeated Peter Horn in the May 6th election, will be sworn in to the City Council along with Nathan Kalkhake and Paul McLaughlin, who were both unopposed for re-election.

Council members are also going to canvass the election returns and choose a new Burton Mayor Pro-Tem.

Other agenda items include:

the Placement of Signs indicating the Prohibition of Engine Braking near the city limits on Spur 125, FM 390, and FM 1697

a resolution proclaiming May as Fair Housing Month in the City of Burton

the Temporary Use of the Alley on Block 31 as access to the Citizens State Bank drive-thru lanes during the remodeling of the bank building

and the Purchase of a new Lift Station to be located near 13,200 West Washington Street.

The Burton City Council meets Tuesday at 5:30pm at the Burton City Hall.
