Brenham ISD’s graduating class marked an end Friday night to their time in high school and the beginning of what comes next.
Families gathered at Cub Stadium to celebrate the accomplishments of Brenham High School’s Class of 2023.
The valedictorian and salutatorian, Grant Mayfield and Erin Keller, spoke to their friends and colleagues to wish them well and give hope for the future. Mayfield, who finished atop the class with a grade point average of 4.8722, said success comes from more than just the work put in while in the classroom, but in facing any tests that life may bring with determination and vigor.

Keller, who placed second with a GPA of 4.7698, said this class came, saw and conquered all that it faced and is prepared for whatever new trials may come.
Out of the class of 377 graduates, 137 earned honors.
