NAVASOTA TO HOST 4TH ANNUAL FREEDOM FESTIVAL

  

The City of Navasota has announced plans for the 4th annual Freedom Festival, which is coming to Downtown Navasota on Friday, June 30.

The event will feature the Fourth of July Parade beginning at 6pm on Brosig Avenue. Participation in the parade is free and does not require registration.

Parade entries can begin lining up on Brosig Avenue at 5pm.  They will then travel west from Washington Avenue to 9th Street.

Following the parade, there is going to be live music from the Texas Unlimited Band, who will be taking the stage outside of the Navasota City Hall at 7pm.

In addition to that, vendors will be on site for food and beverage purchases,  Grimes County Cornhole is hosting a tournament, plus there will be kids’ activities that include a bounce house and waterslides.

As the calendar moves closer to the Fourth to the July holiday, the City of Navasota would also like to remind residents that the sale or discharge of fireworks are not allowed inside the city limits.  

The festival ends with fireworks at 9:30pm at Brule Field. According to city officials, the fireworks can be viewed throughout town and in Downtown Navasota. 

To view the fireworks, spectators have the option of either staying in downtown following the festivities, or they can begin arriving at Brule Field at 8pm.
