AREA FIREFIGHTERS UNDERGO LIVE FIRE TRAINING
Firefighters from around Washington County recently took part in a training session to learn how to tackle different types of fires.
Members of the Brenham, Berlin, Chappell Hill, Gay Hill, Latium, Meyersville and Rocky Creek Fire Departments participated in Live Fire Training on June 3rd at Brayton Fire Training Field in College Station, hosted by the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service.
At the training, firefighters learned techniques to mitigate liquified petroleum gas fires and residential structure fires. They also received lessons on rescuing victims from structure fires.
The hands-on training provided real-life scenarios to prepare area firefighters when responding to incidents within the City of Brenham and the county.
Lunch was provided to students by DACO Fire Equipment, a supplier of fire apparatus and equipment in Texas.
