SUZANNE O DAVIS TO PERFORM CAROLE KING’S ‘TAPESTRY’ SATURDAY AT THE BARNHILL CENTER
The music of Carole King comes to The Barnhill Center tomorrow (Saturday) night.
“Tapestry”, the Carole King Songbook by Suzanne O Davis, will share King’s best-selling album with concertgoers beginning at 7 p.m. The Canadian artist O Davis, accompanied by her band and backup singers, will transport the audience through the iconic songs of King’s career.
The Barnhill Center producer Sharon Brass says O Davis “authentically recreates the sound and vibes of a Carole King concert.”
“Tapestry” was the 1971 album that propelled King to success as the Grammy’s Best Female Vocalist, along with the Best Record, Song of the Year and Album of the Year. Over 25 million “Tapestry” albums have been sold, and King went on to release three additional platinum albums and seven gold albums.
The live performance includes “You’ve Got a Friend”, “Natural Woman”, “It’s Too Late”, “So Far Away”, “I Feel the Earth Move” and “Beautiful” – the title song of the hit Broadway musical about King’s life.
Tickets are still available starting at $65 at https://thebarnhillcenter.com.
