BEAUMONT MAN ARRESTED AFTER TRAFFIC STOP

A Beaumont man was arrested after a traffic stop Saturday.
Brenham Police report that early Saturday morning at 12:10, Corporal Armando Guerra initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 1700 block of Highway 290 West for an equipment violation. Marijuana and three handguns were found inside the vehicle during a probable cause search. The driver, Dezmon Isaiah Simpson, 25 of Beaumont, was placed under arrest for Possession of Marijuana less than 2 oz. and for Unlawful Carrying a Firearm.
