SUSPECT IN ROCKDALE MURDER ARRESTED IN BELLVILLE

  

The search for a man wanted by Milam County authorities after a fatal shooting in Rockdale has ended in Bellville.

17-year-old Isaac Jay Carrizales of Rockdale was arrested without incident on Wednesday by members of the United States Marshals Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force.  He was located inside a residence in the 200 block of Baron Street in Bellville by an Austin County Sheriff’s deputy currently assigned to the task force.

Carrizales is one of three suspects charged in the shooting death of 30-year-old Jeffery McKinney, Jr. on April 27th at an apartment complex in the 1700 block of West Cameron Avenue in Rockdale.  Carrizales was wanted for Murder, Evading Arrest, Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon and Organized Criminal Activity.

The other two suspects, 18-year-old Marquise Flowers of Rockdale and 22-year-old James Luther Godfrey IV of Temple, have been taken into custody. 

The Texas Department of Public Safety and a Fayette County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit assisted in Wednesday’s operation.
