INTERMEDIATE BASEBALL SECTION 1 TOURNAMENT OPENS TONIGHT (MONDAY)

The Washington County Intermediate (13 Year Old) Boys will open the Section 1 Tournament against Bryan Harvey tonight (Monday) at 7pm at the Travis Fields in Bryan.

Washington County is coming off a dominating performance at the District 13 Tournament. In the first round, they beat Bellville 16-1. That was followed by a 15-5 win over Grimes County in the quarterfinals, and a 12-4 win over Sealy in the semifinals. They would then beat Sealy a second time, 19-3, to win the championship.

Bryan Harvey is the District 33 Championship Team. Their District Tournament was a two out of three series against College Station. Bryan Harvey swept both games winning by scores of 21-0 and 15-0.

The Section 1 Tournament is also a two out of three series. Game 2 will be tomorrow (Tuesday) night at 7pm. If a third game is needed, it will be Wednesday night at 7pm.
