BRYAN HARVEY BEATS WASHINGTON COUNTY 5-1 TO WIN SECTIONALS

The season came to an end last (Tuesday) night for the Washington County Intermediate Boys as they lost to Bryan Harvey 5-1.

Harvey wins the two-team tournament 2-0, and moves on to the State Intermediate Baseball Tournament, which is being held on July 8 in Sugarland.

Harvey took advantage of a couple of walks and a couple of errors to jump out to an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the first.

Washington County scored their only run of the game in the top of the second. Chet Eckert walked, went to third on a throwing error, and later scored on a wild pitch. That cut the Harvey lead to 3-1.

In the bottom of the second, Ryder Christiansen scored on an RBI single by Braxtyn Bustamante to extend the lead to 4-1.

Harvey would add one more run in the fourth inning when Sutton Rawls scored on a wild pitch.
