INDEPENDENCE PARADE FOR SENIORS FRIDAY IN BRENHAM

  

Washington County residents will be able to celebrate Independence Day with senior citizens tomorrow (Friday).

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Stars & Stripes Senior Citizen Parade to give seniors at local assisted living centers the opportunity to take part in Fourth of July festivities.

Parade participants will meet at the Hohlt Park amphitheater parking lot at 9:30 a.m.  The parade, under the direction of the Brenham Police Department, will depart at 10 a.m. and will visit seven assisted living centers in the county.

Anyone taking part is invited to decorate their vehicles in red, white and blue for the occasion, but they are asked not to attach trailers.
