A Sealy man was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon by the Fayette County Narcotics Unit on an active Federal arrest warrant.

According to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek, the Narcotics Unit received information about a wanted subject staying in La Grange.

The subject, Christopher Deborde, was located at the Carter Motel.  Authorities say that he was known to be armed and dangerous.

As deputies arrived at the motel, Deborde was observed leaving on a motorcycle, and they initiated a traffic stop.

Deborde is said to have attempted to evade arrest on the motorcycle, but deputies managed to box him in.

He then left the bike and tried to run on foot.

Deborde was taken to the ground, and physically restrained. Deputies removed a pistol and several knives from his person.

The Narcotics Unit then placed him under arrest for the Federal warrant.
