LEE CO. INSTITUTES BURN BAN
Lee County now has a burn ban in place.
Last week, Lee County Commissioners approved an order prohibiting outdoor burning in unincorporated areas. The order expires on Monday, July 24th unless extended by the county.
Lee County was one of three area counties that enacted burn bans last week, the other two being Fayette and Colorado.
The Texas A&M Forest Service says there are 87 counties in the state with an active burn ban.
