WALLER CO. ENTERS INTO BURN BAN
The list of burn bans around the area continues to grow.
On Wednesday, Waller County approved a ban on outdoor burning in unincorporated areas. The ban is in place until removed by county commissioners.
The only counties in the area without a burn ban in effect are Washington and Grimes counties. However, Grimes County Commissioners are scheduled to meet tomorrow (Friday) to potentially take action on a burn ban. Update @ 10 a.m.: Washington County has approved a burn ban effective tomorrow at 7 a.m.
According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, 145 of the state’s 254 counties are under a burn ban as of today (Thursday).
