VANDALISM AT BRENHAM PARK RESTROOMS
The City of Brenham Parks Department reports recent vandalism at three local park restrooms.
In a press release issued Monday, the city says the damage includes broken porcelain sinks and dispensers for soap, toilet paper and paper towels.
City of Brenham Communications and Public Relations Manager Melinda Gordon says the incidents occurred on July 16th at Hohlt Park and on July 18th at Jackson Street and Fireman’s Parks.
City staff members are making repairs to get the facilities back up and available for patrons.
The city notes that these damages cost taxpayers money in time, labor, parts and replacement fixtures. It asks residents to be aware and vigilant to help deter this activity.
I come from Navasota to come walk at these parks and I don’t like being rude but they are filthy let’s make them more clean to the public
Is it possible to put cameras? I walk at these parks and do not like that there are no cameras. If we are going to spend money to fix this, lets put money towards installing cameras so we can catch them. However, one time I was at the park and called the non emergency line to get an officer to come for a male acting erratic and suspicious waited 15 min and they never showed up didn’t even send a COP (Citizen on Patrol) so I just left, Just saying!
Makes a outside camera look cheap.
Bummer. I am always bragging about how well maintained the park restrooms are here in Brenham to out of town folks. Thank you Brenham Parks and Rec for not making me run home when I need to go!
So sad that some people have nothing better to do than destroy things that others paid for.
