WASHINGTON CO. FAIR QUEEN COURT, ENTERTAINMENT LINEUP REVEALED AT VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION NIGHT

  

The 155th Washington County Fair held its unofficial kick-off party Saturday night.

The Volunteer Appreciation Night at Silver Wings Ballroom thanked volunteers for their continued contributions to the fair.  It also introduced the 2023 fair queen court and revealed the musical entertainers that will be performing at this year’s event. 

The four fair queen candidates are MaKayla Hueske, Della Jasinksi, Seta Naylor and Katie Seeker.

Hueske is a junior at Brenham High School who is representing the Brenham FFA.  Her parents are Stewart and Jennifer Fleetwood.  She said the fair has always been something she has enjoyed taking part in, from having fun at the carnival to showing projects, and believes this year will be even more special.

Jasinski is a senior at Brenham High School who is representing Brenham Athletics.  Her parents are Brad and Amy Jasinski.  She said the life lessons learned from the fair are one of a kind and is thrilled to be able to participate in this manner.

Naylor is a junior at Brenham Christian Homeschool Co-op who is representing Washington County 4-H.  Her parents are Justin and Heidi Naylor and Candice Steinfeld.  She said she is beyond excited for this opportunity and is grateful for what she has gained through her time with the fair thus far. 

Seeker is a senior at Brenham High School who is also representing Washington County 4-H.  Her parents are Ken and Christin Seeker.  She said the fair is a great experience for every child to grow up with, and she cannot wait for it to get underway. 

Shifting into the music lineup, the opening weekend on Saturday, September 16th will host the Risky Liver Band.

Tejano Night on Wednesday, September 20th will feature Los Igualados and Los Cazadores del Cerro.

Following on Thursday, September 21st will be Trae Pierce & the T-Stones.

On Friday, September 22nd, Charlie Robison will open for Shane Smith & the Saints.

The final acts of the fair on Saturday, September 23rd will be William Beckmann leading for headliner Gary LeVox, the former front man for Rascal Flatts who has embarked on a solo career.
