HEAD OF BRENHAM VFW AUXILIARY NAMED PRESIDENT OF THE YEAR

  

The president of Brenham’s VFW Auxiliary has received a prestigious honor.

Virginia Hillman was named the Texas District 17 VFW Auxiliary President of the Year during the district’s quarterly meeting on Saturday.  The auxiliary supports VFW Post 7104 and takes part in various community initiatives. 

Hillman says words can barely describe how surprised she was to be recognized, but she is elated and humbled.

In addition to Brenham, Texas District 17 is comprised of auxiliaries in cities like Huntsville, Conroe, Katy and The Woodlands.

Hillman says the organization is very close to her heart and wants to be able to help veterans and the public at large however possible.

VFW Post 7104 Commander Ben Seeker said members greatly respect the work that Hillman has done.  He said she is “a go getter” and “a great president.”
