BRENHAM FIREMAN’S FIESTA THIS WEEKEND
The Brenham Fire Department has a weekend of festivities in store at its 54th Annual Fireman’s Fiesta.
The department’s biggest fundraiser of the year begins tonight (Friday) at the Fireman’s Training Center with a cornhole tournament. Registration opens at 6 p.m., and play starts at 7 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first through third place winners. The bar and kitchen will be open.
Tomorrow (Saturday), the department will provide all-you-can-eat sirloin steak and sausage from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., either dine-in or drive-thru. There will also be a live auction that gets underway at 6:30 p.m., plus a silent auction and a drawing.
Proceeds from the Fireman’s Fiesta support the department with purchasing new equipment, firefighter training and facility maintenance.
Meal tickets are $15 and can be bought at the Brenham fire station and from any firefighter, as well as at Robert’s Service Station, K&M Grocery, Dan’s Meat Market and Lete Phillips Exercise Studio. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door.
