TEXAS A&M AGRILIFE PLANT SALE TAKING ORDERS

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension is now taking orders for their 2023 Fall Plant Sale.

They are selling Plant 4 packs for $2.50 each.  They include arugula, bok choy, broccoli, brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, collard greens, kale, lettuce, mustard greens, spinach, and swiss chard.

According to the Extension Service, all plants are propagated locally from seed, and they will do their best to get everyone their first choice on variety.  If they do fall short from the grower, they will replace with a comparable variety.

Proceeds from the plant sale go to benefit the Extension Horticulture Committee’s Scholarship Fund.  Scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors in Brenham and Burton who are pursuing a career in an agriculture related field.

The order deadline is Tuesday, September 19.  They can be placed in-person at the Extension Office at 1305 East Blue Bell Road, or you can order them on-line at washington.agrilife.org/plantsale.

The plants will be available for pick-up on Tuesday, October 10.

For more information about the plant sale, contact Extension Agent Kara Matheney at 979-277-6212 extension two.
