FAYETTE CO. FAIR CROWNS NEW QUEEN
The 96th Annual Fayette County Fair got into full swing Thursday night with the crowning of a new queen.

The 2023 Fayette County Fair Queen is Harper Henneke representing the La Grange Optimist Club, selling $29,645 in season passes. Henneke was also named Most Photogenic.
First Runner Up was Camryn Alvarado representing the Kyla Faith Memorial, with $25,130 in season ticket sales. Alvarado was also named Miss Beauty and Poise and Miss Congeniality.
Andrea Ortiz, representing the Fayette County Sheriff’s Posse, was Second Runner Up with season pass sales of $23,660.
Top honors in the Little Mister and Miss Fayette County contest went to Branson Moerbe and Reagan Arlund. First Runners Up were Leonardo Martinez and Patsy Lemus. Most Photogenic were Roman Veitch and Reagan Arland. Biggest Personality went to Branson Moerbe and Rylee Hentschel.
In the Junior Miss Fayette County competition, Anabella DelaRosa, who sold a record in carnival passes at $24,990, was named the winner. Bebe Pavlica was named First Runner Up and Most Photogenic. Junior Miss Congeniality was Brinley Freedman.
Total season ticket sales totaled $109,859 from the five queen contestants, with another $62,622 in carnival pass sales from the five junior miss contestants, for a grand total of $172,481. Total sales exceeded 2022’s total by $5,600 and are the most since 2015, when ZZ Top headlined the fair.
KTEX-106’s Dean Dillon will be broadcasting live from the fair parade in downtown La Grange tomorrow (Saturday) morning, while Courtney Cartwright will broadcast live from the fair Sunday night.
