TEXAS WENDISH FEST COMING TO SERBIN

  

The Texas Wendish Society is presenting the 35^th Annual Wendish Fest next Sunday, September 24, in Serbin.

Wendish Fest is an all-day event being held at the Texas Wendish Heritage Museum and the St. Paul Lutheran Church Picnic Grounds in Serbin, which is six miles southwest of Giddings on FM 2239 at County Road 212.

They will begin the day with worship services.  The English service is at 8:30am, followed by a German service at 10:30am.

The museum complex will be open from 10am-5pm.

A meal will be served and you can either get drive thru or dine-in. No reservations or presale tickets are needed.  Plates can be purchased at the event or in the drive thru.

The Texas Wendish Heritage Society Scholarship Recipients will be recognized during the luncheon. 

They will also be having a coffee cake bake-off and auction with proceeds benefitting the TWHS Scholarship Fund.

The Shiner Hobo Band is going to perform from 1-4pm.

For children, there are stick horse races, a coloring contest, train rides, and a snack booth.
