BRENHAM POLICE INVESTIGATING SHOOTING

A Brenham man was arrested Sunday on a shooting that took place Saturday at a local business.
Brenham Police report that Saturday evening at 6:00, Officers were dispatched to the Baylor Scott and White Hospital in reference to a person being admitted with a gunshot wound. Initial investigation revealed the incident took place in the parking lot of a business located in the 900 block of South Market Street. The Criminal Investigation Division were notified and responded to the scene. The CID unit obtained an arrest warrant for Cado Sakai Traylor, 18 of Brenham. Traylor was located and placed under arrest on Sunday evening. Online jail records show he is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. His bond is set at $100,000. Police have not shared information on the victim’s condition or the circumstances that led to the shooting.

Seems we’ve had 2 previous shootings in town, one at a birthday party!! One would think that surely attendees at a party would be able to identify a shooter! We’ve heard absolutely nothing. It would appear that BPD is where information goes to die.
If the people at the birthday party aren’t talking or cooperating with police, or refusing to identify the suspect, then BPD have no leads to go on. I’m pretty sure they’re still working the case, but without cooperative witnesses it will be much harder to ID a suspect. And it’s not just Brenham, it’s the same anywhere. You should try it sometime and see what it’s like.
