BRENHAM MAN CHARGED WITH ASSAULTING POLICE OFFICER

  

A Brenham man was arrested for assaulting a police officer.

Brenham Police report that at 12:00 midnight, Officers responded to a disturbance located at the 1300 block of East Blue Bell Road. An investigation was conducted, and an individual identified as Leodan Morales, 22 of Brenham, assaulted a Police officer by striking him with a closed fist. Morales was taken into custody for Assaulting a Peace Officer, at which time he resisted arrest. During a search, a vape pen containing THC was located in his pocket. He was additionally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Resisting Arrest, Search or Transport. Police said the officer did not receive medical attention.
