DIME BOX BLACK BRIDGE FESTIVAL, MINI-MARATHON OCT. 6-7
The Dime Box Lions Club is getting ready to host the annual Black Bridge Festival and Mini-Marathon.
Festivities will be held Friday and Saturday, October 6th and 7th in downtown Dime Box.
The fun begins on October 6th at 6 p.m. with a free will donation dinner, a music and street dance with DJ Trail Boss Troy, the opening of the barbecue cook-off, the Little Mister and Miss Dime Box Pageant at 6:30 p.m. and a domino tournament at 7 p.m.
October 7th will continue activities at 9 a.m. with the mini-marathon, along with more of the barbecue cook-off and awards, the La Grange Square Dance Club at 10:15 a.m., a parade at 1 p.m., the junior pitmaster competition at 2 p.m. and a fundraising auction at 4 p.m. There will also be craft booths and music provided throughout the day by CK and the DJ Curtis Krause, Kimberlin Krause and Gary Durrenberger.
The Black Bridge Festival and Mini-Marathon is hosted by the Dime Box Lions Club Foundation. Proceeds benefit Lions projects and the Black Bridge Park.
