MEMORIAL ARRANGEMENTS ANNOUNCED FOR CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH PASTOR
Memorial services have been announced after the passing of a Brenham pastor.

Mark Allan Groves, pastor at Christ Lutheran Church, died on Sunday at the age of 64. Groves had served as the pastor at Christ Lutheran for over 10 years, starting in 2011.
A native of Freeport, Illinois, Groves graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Chicago. According to his obituary, he became the youngest licensed funeral director in Illinois at the time. He would later graduate with a Master of Divinity from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Iowa.
Prior to Brenham, Groves led congregations at Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Monaca, Pennsylvania and New Life Lutheran Church in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brenham Memorial Chapel. A memorial service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. The service will be followed by a luncheon at the church hall.
