SCARECROWS POP UP IN DOWNTOWN BRENHAM
Fall has come to the streets of downtown Brenham.
Twenty-six entries are participating in the 20th edition of Main Street Brenham’s Scarecrow Extravaganza. A varied assortment of scarecrows can now be seen and voted on by the public.
The winning scarecrows will receive a share of approximately $1,550 in cash prizes. The Best Overall scarecrow will win a $300 prize sponsored by KTEX/KWHI.
Other categories include:
- Most Votes for $200, sponsored by Hermann Furniture.
- Judges Choice for $200, sponsored by Must Be Heaven.
- Best Fall Theme for $125, sponsored by Scrubs ‘N Stuff Boutique.
- Most Creative for $125, sponsored by The Pomegranate.
- Most Educational for $125, sponsored by Tres Chic Boutique.
- Silliest for $125, sponsored by The Book Nook.
- Cutest for $125, sponsored by The Canyon Chick.
- Best Selfie for $125, sponsored by Floyd’s Lounge.
- Honorable Mention for $100, sponsored by Yellow Truck LLC.
Ballots to vote on scarecrows can be picked up at sponsoring locations or the Visitor Center. Voting will continue through October 24th, and the winners will be announced on October 30th.
