BRASS TRANSIT COMING TO THE BARNHILL CENTER
The world’s foremost tribute to the band Chicago will be coming to Brenham for a performance in just under two weeks.
Brass Transit is going to take the stage at the Barnhill Center on Friday, October 20, at 7pm.
The Barnhill Center producer Sharon Brass said, “Brass Transit goes far beyond just replicating the songs. They embody Chicago’s music in every detail, which is a difficult feat with such complex arrangements.”
The Brenham audience will hear all the big Chicago hits including “Saturday In The Park,” “If You Leave Me Now,” “(I’ve Been) Searchin’ So Long,” “Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is,” “Just You And Me” and many more.
Chicago was formed in 1967 and became an instant hit in America’s Pop and Rock culture. They were unique as the first band to incorporate a big-band sound into Rock ‘n Roll music, using a strong horn ensemble.
Chicago became one of America’s most successful musical groups, selling over 100 million records and releasing 38 albums – most of which were gold, platinum or multi-platinum.
They won many awards including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020. They were inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Two of its members are also in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
Formed in 2008, Brass Transit is a group of eight accomplished and award-winning artists, one of whom is part of the original Chicago band.
Since then, Brass Transit has steadily toured North America, dazzling audiences with their flawless performances.
