ELDERLY MAN REPORTED MISSING IN WASHINGTON CO. FOUND SAFE

A 76-year-old man reported missing over the weekend in Washington County has been found safe.

According to a release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Charles Edmond Ehring was reported missing by his family around 6:30 p.m. Saturday after he apparently walked away from his residence on Lazy F Lane, north of Old Mill Creek Road.

The initial search consisted of the sheriff’s office, Citizens on Patrol, the Precinct 1 Constable K-9 and a drone.  Ehring was not located after an all-night search.

Notifications were issued through the Everbridge system, which alerted residents in the area to be on the lookout for Ehring.  He was also named in the Texas and National Crime Information Center as a missing person and listed in a Silver Alert throughout the state.

According to the missing person notice shared by Amber Alert Network Brazos Valley, Ehring was believed to be in danger due to a medical condition.

Around 8 a.m. Sunday, sheriff’s deputies were notified of a welfare concern near Holstein Lane that resulted in Ehring being located by a Bluebonnet Electric staff member.  As a precaution, Ehring was transported by Washington County EMS to Baylor Scott & White, where he was evaluated.
