TEXAS CZECH HERITAGE FEST & MUZIKY THIS WEEKEND IN LA GRANGE
La Grange will play host this weekend to the annual Texas Czech Heritage Festival and Muziky.
On Friday and Saturday, the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center will have demonstrations, tours of the Czech Village, arts and crafts, children’s activities, an antique tractor show and car show, live music and a beer garden.
Czech-style chicken and dumplings will be served on Friday beginning at 5:30 p.m., with music by the Dujka Brothers from 6 to 9:30 p.m.
Opening ceremonies will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. All day long, the beer garden will have entertainment provided by the Jodie Mikula Orchestra, Round Top Brass Band, and Al Sulak & The Country Sounds.
Rounding out Saturday will be the Muziky, Muziky event at the Sanford Schmid Amphitheater from 7 to 9:30 p.m., featuring the Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys Tribute with frontman Jason Roberts. The night will conclude with a fireworks show sponsored by H-E-B.
Admission to the grounds and events is free on Friday and during the day on Saturday. Presale tickets for the Amphitheater show are $20, and gate admission is $25.
