UNITY THEATRE TO PRESENT ‘THE GAME’S AFOOT – HOLMES FOR THE HOLIDAYS’

A suspenseful comedy is the next production coming to Unity Theatre in Brenham.

“The Game’s Afoot – Holmes for the Holidays” by Ken Ludwig will play on Unity’s Main Stage from November 30th to December 17th.

Broadway star William Gillette, admired for his leading role in the play “Sherlock Holmes”, has invited his fellow cast members to his castle for a weekend of revelry.  Festivities turn dangerous when one of the guests is killed, and Gillette must assume the persona of the legendary detective to track down the killer before another victim appears.  The production is rated PG-13 due to some adult content and themes.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

The preview performance on November 30th will have a talk-back session with the cast and crew immediately after the show.  Director Jimmy Phillips will chat with the audience half an hour before the performance on December 9th.

Tickets are $30 per person, $23 for the preview show.  Student tickets, along with any seats not filled 15 minutes prior to curtain, are $15.

Subscribers can begin making reservations on November 13th.  General public sales will start on November 20th.
