UNITY THEATRE OPENS ‘THE GAME’S AFOOT – HOLMES FOR THE HOLIDAYS’ THURSDAY

A thrilling comedy with twists and turns takes the stage starting tonight (Thursday) at Unity Theatre in Brenham.

“The Game’s Afoot – Holmes for the Holidays” by Ken Ludwig will play for three weekends through December 17th, beginning with this evening’s preview performance.

Broadway star William Gillette, beloved for his leading role in the play “Sherlock Holmes”, has invited his fellow cast members to his castle for a weekend of revelry.  However, the festivities turn dangerous when one of the guests is killed.  Gillette must assume the persona of the legendary detective to track down the killer before another victim appears.  The production is rated PG-13 due to some adult content and themes.

Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays, 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2 p.m. on Sundays.

Tonight’s preview performance will have a talk-back session immediately after the show, featuring cast and crew members.  Prior to the show on December 9th, director Jimmy Phillips will chat with the audience.

Tickets are $30 per person, $23 for the preview show.  Tickets for students, as well as any seats not sold 15 minutes before the show begins, are $15.
