BRENHAM FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH LAUNCHES CAMPAIGN FOR NEW SCHOOL BUILDING

Brenham’s First Baptist Church announced the beginning of the Deep & Wide Capital Campaign for the construction of their new school building.

The project is the second phase in the church’s multi-phased relocation to their new property at 2715 South Market Street.

First Baptist Church School is open to students in kindergarten through the sixth grade.

The new facility will provide 60,134 square feet of additional space, which will include a library, computer, and technology area, hallway neighborhoods, an outdoor learning theatre, an expanded music suite, a full-sized gym with seating, a cafeteria separate from the gym that can also be used as a fellowship hall, a flag football field, playgrounds, better access for the ease of dropping-off and picking-up, and a teacher recharge station.

Associate Pastor Troy Sikes, who is leading the second phase of relocation, said that their school has been an important part of the community for over 45 years, and that this expansion will allow them to provide for the educational and ministry needs of the community for generations to come.
