SETH KLEHM RUNNING FOR WASHINGTON CO. PRECINCT 2 CONSTABLE
A United States Marine Corps veteran and Brenham Police Department sergeant has declared his candidacy for Washington County Precinct 2 Constable.
Seth Klehm has filed for the position presently held by Trey Holleway, who is running for sheriff in the March 2024 primary. Klehm is running as a Republican.
Klehm, a Washington County native and Brenham High School graduate, has served in the Brenham Police Department since October 2009, where he has operated in multiple aspects including patrol and criminal investigation. He has served in various supervisory roles within those divisions and coordinated with area, state and federal law enforcement agencies. He also was an Emergency Medical Technician with Washington County EMS prior to entering law enforcement.
Klehm joined the USMC his senior year of high school and entered the military service in the summer of 2001. He completed Marine Corps Combat Engineer School as an honor graduate, receiving a meritorious promotion and entering the Marine fleet. Once in the fleet, he deployed multiple times, two of which were to Iraq in 2003 and from 2007-08. During his last deployment, he served as a security team commander and mission commander on various operations through the Al Anbar Province. He honorably exited the Marine Corps at the rank of Staff Sergeant after five years of active service.
During his time at the Brenham Police Department, Klehm has continued to expand his knowledge within law enforcement, attending various courses and the American Military University to obtain a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice. He has obtained his Master Peace Officer’s Certificate and multiple peace officer instructor-level certifications, and has also completed several leadership courses.
Seth currently resides in Chappell Hill and married his wife, Amanda, in August 2010. They have two children, Aiden and Tinley.
Klehm is the only candidate to have filed so far for the Precinct 2 Constable position. Monday is the last day to file for a spot on the primary ballot.
I have known Seth since he was a very young man and I am proud of his service to our country as veteran of the Iraqi War. After returning home he continued to serve our community in numerous ways and I am confident he will continue to serve the citizens of our precinct in an honorable and respectful manner.
