MURDER SUSPECT ARRESTED IN SCHULENBURG FOR DEATH OF EDNA HIGH SCHOOL CHEERLEADER
A suspect in the death of a high school cheerleader, whose body was found by her mother in a bathtub at their home, was arrested on Saturday in Schulenburg.

The Edna Police Department says they located an “undocumented male” identified as 23-year-old Rafael Govea Romero in Schulenburg, where he was taken into custody by Edna police and Texas Rangers.
Romero has been transported to the Jackson County Jail and charged with Capital Murder for the death of 16-year-old Lizbeth Medina.
Local media reports state that Medina was scheduled to perform along with other Edna High School cheerleaders in a Christmas parade on Tuesday, December 5th, but her mother went home to look for her when she never showed up. She found Medina unresponsive at their apartment.
Edna Police Chief Rick Boone said in Sunday’s press release that the arrest came after “countless hours” of investigation, but did not disclose the circumstances of Medina’s death, any potential motives or any connection between Romero and Medina.
Boone thanked the Texas Rangers, the Schulenburg Police Department and Fayette County for their assistance.
The Edna community held a vigil on Saturday to mourn and remember Medina.
“Undocumented male” AKA ILLEGAL ALIEN is another way to put it. I would love to see government officials held accountable for the dangerous environment they have directly caused by their actions, or rather the LACK thereof. What about all the drugs flooding over the border(more than ‘normal’), feds holding the barb wire so every Tom, Dick and Harry can come across, wrecks occurring due to high speed chases, crimes happening here and down right murder.
But the Biden Administration has given illegals more rights than the tax paying citizens. As long as the monkey keep paying taxes(like we are given a choice, if we don’t pay, they come affer us, but if your Daddy has money or you come from a different country, thd rules don’t apply to you), they will keep sending the money to every other country, but not to help our own people. What about the Veterans, elderly or mentally unstable? Nope, those people don’t matter.
It just matters how many criminals we can inject into our country. Not sure if it is right or not, but hike y’all’s illegal tails to DC and keep those folks company. We don’t want the strain on our resources. It just ends up costing us money to defend our property, replace what’s stolen, etc. But all these people want a better life?? And I’m sure many want that. But if you don’t want to assimilate and come in the legal way. No! You have more rights when you break the law by coming in illegally than those that have paid and did the work to be here legally. A shame!!
What a Nightmare for the Mother to have found her, If our boarders were secured and this man had been prevented from coming here in the first place that sweet young girl would still be here to see all her future plans of Graduating High school and college , Getting married , having a family ETC. But instead because of someone who should never even been in the United States , She will never have that. It was taken away from her. So if you think the border security problem is not EVERONES problem Your WRONG…
You are so right!! I live 1 mile from Hwy 59 & get these illegals walking across my property. It’s scary to walk outside at night. This poor beautiful girl was loved by many & now she’s gone by a Brutal murderer here illegally.
