NAVASOTA ISD TO HOLD BOND COMMITTEE MEETINGS
Navasota ISD has scheduled four bond committee meetings.
The meetings will allow for discussion of district needs and what could be a part of a potential bond proposal, which could go before voters as soon as May.
The bond committee meetings will take place on January 11th, January 18th, February 1st and February 5th. All will be held at the Navasota ISD Administration Building beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The meetings are open for the public to attend and contribute feedback.
Navasota ISD hosted an informational meeting earlier this month to talk about the possible construction of a fourth elementary school to help with the growth coming to the Millican area. The district says it wishes to avoid increasing taxes with any plans it moves forward with.
Should the district decide to call a bond election, it will have until February 16th to do so. Navasota ISD trustees would base their decision on the recommendations of the bond committee.
