COUNTY ROAD 378 IN BURLESON CO. RE-OPENED AFTER DAM WASH OUT
Burleson County officials say a road made impassable after a dam washed out last week is now back open.
The Burleson County Sheriff’s Office on Monday said County Road 378, north of Caldwell, is open to traffic once again. The current solution is only temporary, as the sheriff’s office said a permanent fix is coming.
The initial notice of the wash out came Friday afternoon. NEI Construction worked during the rain and the Christmas holiday along with Burleson County Road and Bridge to make the short-term road repairs.
The sheriff’s office deployed its utility vehicle to provide shuttle rides for stranded residents in need of transportation.
Meanwhile, neighbors banded together to check on each other and make sure they had everything they needed.
