GIDDINGS LIONS CLUB HOSTING CHILI BOWL OPEN COOKOFF
The Giddings Lions Club is hosting their 20th Annual Chili Bowl Open Cook-Off next month, and it is open to all competitors.
The Cookoff is going to be Friday, January 26, and Saturday, January 27 at the Railroad Depot Area in Downtown Giddings.
It is being sponsored by the Giddings Breakfast Lions, the Giddings Noon Lions, the Giddings New Horizon Lions, and the Giddings Evening Lions.
The cost to enter the cookoff is $75 per team. Proceeds go to benefit the Texas Lions Camp and other Lions Club charities.
Friday evening will start with the Load In and Social Hour at 5pm, followed by live music featuring Kimberlyn and Curtis Krause from 6-10pm.
Saturday begins with the cook’s meeting and check-in at 8:30am. That will be followed by the Drink Contest Turn-In at 11am, the Pinto Bean Cookoff Turn-In at 12:30pm, and the Chili Cook-Off Turn-In at 1:30pm.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners.
