BELLVILLE FOOTBALL RECEIVES ALL DISTRICT HONORS
Coming off of a season that saw them go 15-1, win the District Championship, and make it all the way to the State Championship Game, several members of the Bellville Brahmas received All-District 10-4A Division II honors.
Junior DL D.J. Sanders was unanimously named as the District’s Overall MVP. This past season, Sanders was involved in 115 tackles, 30 solo and 85 assists. He also had 15 sacks.
Junior RB D.D. Murray was unanimously named as the District’s Offensive MVP. Murray finished the season with 188 carries for 2,072 yards and 36 touchdowns.
All District First Team Offense selections included RB Sam Hranicky, TE Gavin Mays, C Ozzie Andrade, G Jakorey Lewis, and T Kohen Johnson.
Meanwhile, LB Jacob Shepherd was a unanimous All District First Team Defense selection. Also receiving First Team Defense honors were DL Gavin Mays, DL Cory Richardson, LB Connor Gaines, and DB Hunter Kunkel.
K Fernando Grajales received All-District First Team honors as well.
Second Team All-District honors went to TE Jacob Shepherd, DB Adarius Hutchinson, and KR-PR Hunter Kunkel.
Honorable Mention All-District honors went to QB Zach Leuschner, RB Corrian Hood, OL Ricky Woodling, WR Landon Schumann, DL C.J. McKee, and DB Colin Goeke.
In addition to the players, the Bellville coaches were named the District’s Staff of the Year.
