BLUE BELL AQUATIC CENTER TO HOST ‘POLAR BEAR SLIDE’ JAN. 6
The Blue Bell Aquatic Center will raise money for the Brenham Waves Special Olympics Swim Team at a unique event next weekend.
The “Polar Bear Slide” on Saturday, January 6th from 8 to 11 a.m. invites community members to take a ride on the Aquatic Center’s big yellow slide and plunge into the – likely cold – outdoor leisure pool.
Everyone who donates $10 gets to ride down the slide. For $20, they will receive a shirt.
In addition to the slide, there will be s’more and hot cocoa stations. Inflatables will be set up inside the Aquatic Center.
Donations will go toward new equipment and uniforms for the swim team, as well as helping to fund attendance at future events.
