WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEET TUESDAY

The Washington County Commissioners will be discussing an interlocal agreement with the City of Brenham regarding Emergency Management at a special session meeting on Tuesday.

Under terms of the agreement, the County would allow their Emergency Management Coordinator to also serve as the City’s Emergency Management Coordinator.

In exchange, the City agrees to reimburse the County for a percentage of the Emergency Management Coordinator’s salary and benefits.

The City also agrees to reimburse the County for any out-of-pocket expenses that the Emergency Management Coordinator incurs while doing work for the City.

In a related item, Commissioners will hear the Office of Emergency Management’s Quarterly Report at the meeting as well.

Other agenda items include a Right of Way permit application for the Chapelton Fun Run and Walk, which is being held Saturday, January 6, at the Chapelton Vineyards in Old Washington.

In addition to that, they will discuss an amendment to their Telemedicine Services Agreement with the Texas A&M Health Science Center.  The amendment would extend the agreement through December 31, 2024.

The Commissioners will also act upon a request for the County Treasurer to issue a check for $50,000 to Brenham CFA Series LLC to fulfill terms of their Chapter 381 Agreement in relation to the opening of Chick-Fil-A.

It is a reimbursement to their company in exchange for making a $2.5 million investment in Washington County.

The Commissioners Court convenes Tuesday morning at 9am at the Washington County Courthouse.
