WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HOLD MEETING
The Washington County Commissioners Court held a workshop meeting Tuesday morning to edit the memorandum of understanding with the county dealing with the volunteer fire departments. Commissioner Dustin Majewski said during the discussion, “that this is for your benefit”, referring to the edits and the volunteer fire chiefs present. The edits will be brought before the Commissioners Court in regular session for a vote January 23rd.
In other action,
Commissioners approved an agreement providing emergency communication dispatching for Blinn College, as well as an amendment to the billing services agreement between the county and EMS’ billing company, EMS Management & Consultants, Inc.
Approved to go out for bids for an EMS ambulance chassis.
Approved Engineering and Development Services receipting monies for the Environmental Department.
Approved Purchasing a Gradall excavator from Associated Supply Company, Inc. for the Engineering and Development Services Department through BuyBoard.
Approved Reappointing Dorothy Morgan to the MHMR Authority of Brazos Valley Board of Trustees.
Approved Stephanie Kinghorn to be a new member of the Washington County Historical Commission.
Approved the extension of time to use vacation hours for Shannon May at the jail and Ryan Miller and Thomas Weidmer at EMS.
Approved a proclamation declaring January 21st as Sanctity of Human Life Day.
