The announcement of the Junior and Senior Maifest Courts will be at 2 p.m. Due to weather concerns, the location for the event has changed from the Dr. Bobbie Dietrich Memorial Amphitheatre at Hohlt Park to The Barnhill Center.
Brenham Maifest Association President Catherine Kenjura says the Serenade serves to kick off a new season of Maifest activities.
The new Maifest royalty will be announced by the 133rd Junior Maifest Queen and King, Virginia Kate Priesmeyer and Luke Robert Hyatt, and the Senior Maifest Queen and King, Lauren Ruth Hook and Ashton Kiel Behrens.
The themes for the 2024 Maifest courts will be revealed. Attire from previous years’ Maifest royalty will be on display, and there will be music from the Brenham High School Band.
Registration to participate in this year’s Maifest, held the first weekend of May, will open at www.brenhammaifest.com following the Serenade.
